Staff Product Designer

Overview

Staff Product Designer responsible for leading design strategy and execution for a major product area.

What you'll do

• Lead design vision, strategy, and execution across the product lifecycle for a major product area.
• Explore ambiguous, complex problem spaces and shape strategic initiative direction.
• Partner with product, engineering, research, and data science to design and ship scalable experiences.
• Design new functionality within existing systems and define new patterns and formats.
• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable design recommendations.
• Use AI as part of the design process, with judgment on when AI should or should not be used.
• Communicate design rationale and mentor designers to raise craft and storytelling quality.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience as a UX or Product Designer with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership.
• Experience with UX methods such as workshops, user research, insight synthesis, user flows, information architecture, and prototyping.
• Experience with interaction and visual design and working with design systems.
• Ability to design responsive, mobile-first experiences informed by research and data.
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma and FigJam.
• Working fluency with AI tools in the design process and judgment about appropriate use.
• Track record communicating design rationale and mentoring other designers.
