Strategic Account Executive

Overview

Drive new business development and expansion across large, strategic enterprise accounts by identifying cloud-scale challenges and positioning Datadog solutions.

What you'll do

• Prospect into Fortune 1000 companies.
• Build and manage relationship maps for an assigned territory.
• Understand customers’ businesses and identify business drivers.
• Negotiate pricing and business terms using value and ROI.
• Expand reach and depth within existing customer accounts.
• Develop opportunities, secure customer validation, and close business.
• Maintain accurate and consistent sales forecasts.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of closing experience across mid-market and enterprise field sales.
• Experience meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+.
• Experience with average deal sizes of $100k+.
• Ability to prospect and build pipeline independently.
• Experience selling to large Fortune 1000 companies and winning new logos.
• Experience at an innovative technology company.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS or IT infrastructure.

Details

• Remote role covering District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
• Regular travel to client sites and other regions is required.
• Estimated yearly salary: $135,000–$150,000 USD.
