Overview
Structural Engineer II role supporting structural design development and quality assurance across concept to detailed design stages for building structures.
What you'll do
- Assist with development, coordination, and quality assurance of structural designs across design stages.
- Develop detailed designs from schematic designs under senior engineers’ guidance.
- Create details/sketches and provide details to CAD technicians.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively on assigned structural tasks within the discipline.
- Support compliance with company QA/QC procedures.
- Participate in design review and assurance processes and coordinate with architecture and MEP teams.
- Manage own time and the time of others reporting to them.
What you'll need
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
- 7+ years working in a design office.
- Competence in structural analysis including BMD, SFD, and deflections/load paths.
- Competence in design of concrete and steel structures.
- Experience using structural design software such as Viz, STAAD, ETABS, or SAFE.
- Knowledge of international standards like ACI, AISC, and Eurocodes is preferred.
- Good communication and presentation skills to present design options to stakeholders.
