Summer Internship – Digital – Engineering

Overview

Eight-week summer internship in bp’s Data and AI digital discipline, based in Pune. Interns may rotate into different roles and work on projects using data to support business decisions and performance.

What you'll do

• Understand business problems with business SMEs and data professionals.
• Assess how solutions affect business performance.
• Explore datasets to identify actionable insights.
• Use data to develop business-focused data stories.
• Support decisions related to safety, operational efficiency and cost.
• Plan and deliver an assessed internship project with guidance and feedback.

What you'll need

• Pursue a bachelor’s degree in technology or engineering.
• Focus studies on computational sciences, computers or IT.
• Maintain a CGPA of 7 or above.
• Be part of the class of 2028.
• Be eligible for an eight-week internship between May and July 2027.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and deliver results.

Nice to have

• Data science skills are advantageous for geoscience candidates.
• Use statistical methods to interrogate large datasets.
• Use Python or R scripting languages.
• Use Jupyter or RStudio development environments.

• Location: Pune, India.
• Work mode: On-site; remote working is unavailable.
• No travel is expected.
