Systems Engineer

Overview

Systems Engineer in a high-impact pre-sales role focused on driving Pure Storage enterprise technical strategy and customer adoption across high-value accounts in Malaysia.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and system configurations with Account Managers.
• Translate customer business goals and infrastructure pain points into tailored Pure Storage solution designs.
• Author RFP/RFI responses and run technical benchmark testing for performance, scalability, and TCO.
• Deliver architectural presentations to customer leadership and partner with Product Marketing on market insights.

What you'll need

• Proven pre-sales track record in enterprise technology environments.
• Expertise guiding enterprise clients through evaluations, RFP responses, and complex technical sales cycles.
• Deep knowledge of storage architectures (SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI), Linux, and NFS file systems.
• Knowledge of distributed network environments and modern infrastructure (on-prem and cloud-native).
• Consultative communication skills to explain complex architectural concepts to evaluators and executives.

• Location: Malaysia (expected to work from the Malaysia office).
• Work mode: in-office environment unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
