Technology Analyst - SAP Native HANA, ABAP on HANA

Overview

Technology Analyst within the Data Product Team for Procurement Digital Solutions, responsible for setting up data retrieval from SAP backends, implementing business logic, and transforming and exposing data onto the data lake.

What you'll do

• Lead the setup of data retrieval from SAP backends, business logic implementation, and data transformation and exposition onto the data lake.
• Participate in the end-to-end lifecycle of data management, from requirements collection to retirement.
• Translate business needs into Business Object data models that fulfill technical, performance and security requirements.
• Monitor integrated systems, interfaces and applications.
• Work with Functional consultants and Big Data Developers, acting as a bridge between them.
• Be accountable for ensuring technical delivery meets business expectations and is completed on time and on quality.
• Define and implement architecture patterns and best practices in alignment with central architecture teams.
• Lead service deliverables, monitor operational performance, and uphold agreed KPIs.
• Engage with end-users and super-users in a customer-facing role, maintaining excellent communication in business terms.
• Take part in cut-over, upgrade and migration, and go-live production activities.

What you'll need

• Graduate with 6+ years of experience as a SAP HANA Developer.
• Experience in SAP Native HANA data modeling (Calculation Views, Table Functions, Procedures etc.).
• Strong expertise in CDS Views and OData service development.
• Ability to navigate SAP ABAP backend (Data Dictionary, Tables, CDS Views) to design efficient extraction patterns for HANA/Analytics.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA security, including User Management, Roles and Privileges.
• Development experience in HANA Studio and WebIDE.
• Configuration management: Solman, Git, Jenkins.
• Understanding of SAP HANA Data Provisioning using SAP LT Replication Server (SLT), SDA, and Data Services.
• Experience in optimizing SAP HANA models for analytical workloads.
• Experience in business stakeholder management and understanding customer needs and requirements.
• Experience in business data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Excellent oral and communication skills to engage customers on requirements and delivery.
• Analytical, time management and interpersonal skills, and a good team player.
• Able to work autonomously and proactively with all stakeholders, understanding the end-to-end project lifecycle in a collaborative manner.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• ABAP RICEF Development experience.
• Exposure to ABAP Objects to design the best data extraction strategy.
• Functional knowledge of SAP MM Module.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe and Scrum.
• Knowledge of G Suite: Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.
• Experience working with external subcontractors.
• Customer-facing mindset, preferably having worked with European customers.
