US Payroll Professional

Overview

US Payroll Professional handling both US payroll processing and timekeeping activities for multi-state payroll operations.

What you'll do

• Manage bi-weekly payroll cycles for multiple legal entities.
• Ensure multi-state tax compliance, including W-2/W-2C processing and reconciliation.
• Use ADP (Workforce Now) and Workday for data imports, audits, and payroll system configurations.
• Run payroll helpdesk support by resolving employee and third-party queries.
• Liaise with HR and Finance to prepare reports and reconcile payroll transmissions.
• Maintain payroll documentation and SOPs reflecting current legislative requirements.
• Track daily attendance and verify timesheets/timecards for accurate hours, overtime, and leave.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of multi-state US payroll operations experience in a shared service environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a payroll, HR, or timekeeping-focused administrative role.
• Expert-level knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and Workday.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and timekeeping software (e.g., UKG/Kronos, ADP, Workday).
• Deep understanding of legislation and regulations for multi-state taxation and multi-legal entity payroll.
• Experience with payroll reconciliation, auditing, and problem-solving.
• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Business or HR preferred.

• Employment split: 50% timekeeping and 50% payroll processing.
• Shift: US shift timing.
• Location: Chennai, India.
