Analyst - Cyber Defense

Overview

Analyst role in the Cyber Defense team focused on monitoring DLP/security alerts, investigating potential data loss events, and supporting risk-based documentation and recommendations.

What you'll do

• Monitor and triage DLP alerts across email, endpoints, Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive, and applicable cloud activity.
• Review alert context, validate true positives vs false positives, and document outcomes with supporting evidence.
• Assist the Insider Threat Team with user/business engagement when extra context or justification is needed for data movement.
• Escalate confirmed, high-risk, or repeat data loss events to the Senior DLP Operations Lead, Incident Response, and/or Insider Risk.
• Identify recurring false positives and data classification gaps, and provide tuning/policy recommendations to DLP Engineering.
• Track operational reporting metrics such as alert volumes, disposition trends, SLA adherence, repeat offenders, and control effectiveness indicators.

What you'll need

• At least 3+ years of experience in cyber security.
• Foundational understanding of data protection, information security, security operations, incident handling, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Experience or exposure to Microsoft Purview DLP and Microsoft 365 security/compliance tools, SIEM, ticketing, or case management workflows is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, information security, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong written communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to document findings in an audit-ready manner.

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana.
• Workplace model requires being in the designated office at least three days a week, with two days working outside an Invesco office.
