Associate Counsel, Legal (Hyderabad)

Overview

Associate Counsel, Legal to provide legal guidance and support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial and technology-related contracts for the Hyderabad location.

What you'll do

• Serve as a legal advisor to internal partners on legal and commercial risk across multiple topics.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including vendor/service agreements, MSAs, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
• Build and scale legal templates, playbooks, policies, and contracting workflows for speed and consistency.
• Collaborate with global partners (Sales, Finance, IT, Compliance) to support business objectives and mitigate risks.
• Work with the global legal team on legal processes and agreement administration across the execution lifecycle.
• Monitor developments in SaaS, AI/ML, software licensing, and data privacy and communicate implications to stakeholders.
• Deliver training to cross-functional teams on legal topics, risk management, and contract best practices.

What you'll need

• At least 8-10 years of relevant generalist legal experience.
• Substantial experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and technology transactions.
• Bachelor's degree in law.
• Working knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and open source licensing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical ability, sound judgment, and strategic orientation.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and time zones with attention to time sensitivity.
