Overview
Associate Counsel, Legal to provide legal guidance and support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial and technology-related contracts for the Hyderabad location.
What you'll do
- Serve as a legal advisor to internal partners on legal and commercial risk across multiple topics.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including vendor/service agreements, MSAs, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
- Build and scale legal templates, playbooks, policies, and contracting workflows for speed and consistency.
- Collaborate with global partners (Sales, Finance, IT, Compliance) to support business objectives and mitigate risks.
- Work with the global legal team on legal processes and agreement administration across the execution lifecycle.
- Monitor developments in SaaS, AI/ML, software licensing, and data privacy and communicate implications to stakeholders.
- Deliver training to cross-functional teams on legal topics, risk management, and contract best practices.
What you'll need
- At least 8-10 years of relevant generalist legal experience.
- Substantial experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and technology transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in law.
- Working knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and open source licensing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical ability, sound judgment, and strategic orientation.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and time zones with attention to time sensitivity.
