Associate Test Engineer

Overview

The Associate Test Engineer assists with designing and executing test plans to help ensure software quality. The role includes hands-on testing, defect tracking, and coordination with developers.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute detailed test cases based on project requirements.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.
• Conduct functional, regression, and system-level testing with minimal supervision.
• Assist in test planning by analyzing requirements and creating test scenarios.
• Coordinate with developers to communicate defects and support debugging.
• Perform basic configuration and maintenance of test environments.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in using defect tracking tools and test management systems.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, VBA).
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools and test management systems.
