Associate - Wet Utilities

Overview

Associate Wet Utilities Engineer to lead wet utilities planning, design, and delivery for major infrastructure and industrial projects.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end wet utilities design from concept to IFC, including drainage and water systems.
• Perform and review hydrology and hydraulic analyses (design flows, HFLs, flood risk, flood protection).
• Oversee 1D/2D hydraulic modelling for pressurised water networks and drainage networks.
• Deliver and review technical outputs such as design reports, drawings, models, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate across multiple disciplines to achieve integrated, conflict-free wet utilities layouts.
• Provide drainage and water master planning support, including system performance and long-term capacity planning.
• Support project managers with scope definition, fee estimates, schedules, risk registers, and change management.

What you'll need

• 14–15 years of wet utilities engineering experience, including leadership on large infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Process Engineering.
• Strong expertise in stormwater and foul drainage, culverts/channels, and pressurised water and firefighting/irrigation systems.
• Advanced hydraulic/hydrologic modelling skills using tools such as Bentley SewerGEMS/StormCAD and WaterGEMS/WaterCAD.
• Experience with surge/transient analysis is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D/AutoCAD and GIS platforms for catchment delineation and flood hazard mapping.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards for water, wastewater, stormwater, and fire protection.
