Overview
BU FP&A Financial Analyst in Hitachi Energy’s Finance COE in Bengaluru, supporting global business units with forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and profitability insights.
What you'll do
- Analyze financial performance vs Budget, Forecast, Latest Estimate, prior quarter, and prior year.
- Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, and planning by validating assumptions across stakeholders.
- Monitor KPIs such as Orders, Revenue, Gross Margin, EBIT, SG&A, Headcount, Productivity, Working Capital, Cash Flow, and Capex.
- Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, executive presentations, and variance analyses.
- Support month-end close by validating results, resolving reporting gaps, consolidating estimates, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Conduct profitability and financial statement analyses (balance sheet, cash flow, inventory, net working capital) to identify trends, risks, and actions.
- Analyze manufacturing cost performance including absorption and material cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CMA, CA, or MBA (Finance) required.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (FICO, CO-PA, SD, PP, MM) is highly desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
