Chipset Power Systems -Lead Engineer

Overview

Lead chipset power systems engineering by modeling, analyzing, correlating, and improving power consumption across Qualcomm chipsets.

What you'll do

• Maintain and develop chipset-level power use case modeling tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with power hardware, software, and systems teams to define power use cases.
• Map power use cases to relevant hardware blocks and architectures.
• Translate power estimate requests into end-to-end modeling tasks.
• Analyze modeling outputs and summarize results.
• Present findings and propose power improvement solutions.
• Enable teams to perform in-depth power analysis using the tools and methodologies.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 3+ years with a master's degree, or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, Java, Python, or another programming language.
• Experience with application processors, modem communication systems design, or mobile technology areas.
• Experience commercializing system-level power features.
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals and spreadsheet or custom-tool skills.
• Understanding of microprocessors and SoC hardware blocks, including interconnects, display, and graphics.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
