Overview

Data Scientist for Netflix Messaging, building data, analytics, and experimentation systems that determine who gets which message, when, and through which channel.

What you'll do

• Design and run rigorous A/B tests for messaging strategies including channel, timing, content, and targeting.
• Apply causal inference techniques when clean tests aren’t feasible.
• Define and evolve Messaging experimentation standards and measurement frameworks.
• Own code, data pipelines, and dataset enrichment used for analyses and stakeholder decisions.
• Automate recurring analysis work such as test reads, experiment dashboards, and campaign health checks.
• Translate open-ended business asks into well-scoped projects and data-grounded recommendations.
• Build data solutions that can scale with new channels and business verticals.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in experimentation and causal inference.
• Hands-on expertise designing and analyzing experiments and using causal inference/measurement beyond basic A/B tests.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, including dashboards and automations.
• Ability to balance stakeholder/test-specific needs with scalable solution investment.
• Ability to work independently and drive end-to-end projects in ambiguous situations.
