Data Scientist, Cybersecurity

Overview

Senior Data Scientist for cybersecurity, helping define what effective AI-agent security looks like and measuring emerging risks to improve security controls and evaluation.

What you'll do

• Define how AI-agent security is measured and establish evaluation frameworks.
• Improve security controls by quantifying effectiveness and operational costs including false positives and delays.
• Build data foundations for security decisions by improving instrumentation and trusted datasets.
• Strengthen detection and response by identifying signals of anomalous behavior, risky access, and sensitive-data exposure.
• Develop evaluation systems for security findings, covering accuracy, severity, actionability, duplication, and resolution.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in data science, applied research, analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in cybersecurity, trust and safety, fraud/abuse prevention, privacy, platform integrity, or related adversarial domains.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for investigating complex datasets and building reproducible workflows.
• Experience defining metrics/evaluation when ground truth is limited or outcomes are delayed.
• Strong judgment in experimentation, causal inference, and observational analysis.
• Ability to translate technical analysis into concrete product/system/control improvements.
• Comfort operating independently to define roadmap and bring structure to a domain.
