Database Administrator

Overview

Database Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise database platforms.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise databases across on-premises and cloud.
• Manage and optimize AWS RDS deployments (backup/restore, replication, monitoring, configuration, performance tuning).
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience.
• Perform lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, security hardening, and capacity planning.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Use Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation; support CI/CD with GitLab.
• Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of experience required in AWS Relational Database Service.
• Experience in enterprise database engineering or large-scale production operations (3+ years stated).
• Strong expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL including performance tuning, replication, high availability, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server including automation and monitoring.
• Experience with IaC technologies such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automated configuration management and deployment.
• Strong scripting skills in Python for operational tooling and automation.
