Overview
Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering and design activities for large-scale commercial projects, covering design, reviews, coordination, and site execution.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage electrical engineering and design activities for commercial projects.
- Develop and review electrical system designs, layouts, specifications, and technical reports.
- Design and review HT/LT power distribution, substations, transformers, DG sets, UPS, APFC, MCC, and electrical panels.
- Perform electrical load calculations, voltage-drop calculations, short-circuit studies, and cable sizing.
- Review SLDs, electrical layouts, equipment schedules, and schematic drawings.
- Coordinate electrical systems with other MEP disciplines and conduct design coordination meetings and site inspections.
- Monitor installation and support testing, commissioning, and handover with technical guidance.
What you'll need
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience in Electrical Engineering/MEP projects.
- Strong experience in large-scale commercial and building projects.
- Experience covering projects from concept/design through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Technical skills in HT/LT transformer & substation systems, DG & UPS systems, and lighting & small power.
- Skills in earthing & lightning protection and electrical load calculations.
- Ability to produce/review SLDs and electrical layouts and perform cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit/BIM is an advantage and ETAP/DIALux or similar software is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience in airports, hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, IT parks, commercial complexes, data centres, or institutional buildings.
- Experience in both design consultancy and project execution.
- Airports: exposure to aviation-specific electrical systems and requirements.
