Electrical Engineer - TSI

Overview

Electrical Engineer role in bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) in Pune, providing electrical engineering expertise across analysis, reviews, investigations, equipment strategies, and technical documentation for operations and brownfield projects.

What you'll do

• Perform and review complex or non-routine electrical engineering calculations and analyses.
• Provide EE expertise for MoCs and brownfield site projects/modifications.
• Conduct technical reviews of operating, maintenance, commissioning, and start-up procedures.
• Develop, review, and approve electrical operations documentation requiring engineering input.
• Execute incident and defect investigations (IRIS and Vulnerability Tool).
• Ensure inspection, testing, maintenance, and condition monitoring tasks align with equipment strategy intent.
• Lead reliability analysis using surveillance/maintenance/condition monitoring data and trends.

What you'll need

• Electrical Engineering Degree as an educational qualification.
• Registered Professional Engineer (Texas) or Chartered Engineer as preferred certification.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical or equivalent.
• Total 8-12 years of experience stated in the posting.
• Experience covering engineering, maintenance, and operation of electrical equipment including troubleshooting and reliability/obsolescence issues.
• Experience with LV and MV electrical equipment design, specification, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of governing codes/standards/local regulations (example list includes API, ANSI, ATEX, BS, IEEE, IEC, NEC, NFPA).
