Overview

Hardware Engineer role in Eaton’s Electrical Systems and Solutions business, based in Pune, India, focused on analog/digital circuit design and validation for medium voltage switchgear products.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement analog and digital circuits from concept to serial production for Medium Voltage Switchgear products.
• Create schematics, define PCB layout constraints, and execute verification via simulation and prototype testing.
• Develop manufacturing documentation for serial production and specifications for production test equipment.
• Collaborate with system architects and software developers to break down system requirements into hardware specifications.
• Own hardware development projects, including risk identification, target alignment, and coordination with suppliers and other teams.
• Participate in intellectual property discussions and support preparation of project clearance reports.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in embedded systems development for analog, digital, and mixed-signal design.
• Sound knowledge of designing electronic circuits, circuit diagrams, PCB layouts, and simulation tools.
• Experience with product standards such as UL, IEC, and NEC.
• Hands-on experience designing products from concept to commercialization, including component selection and schematics.
• Knowledge of product design tool environments such as Altium, LTspice, and PSpice.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
