Engineer II, Hardware

Overview

Engineer II, Hardware is a hands-on electrical/electronics role within a global R&D team, focused on new product design and updates. The engineer leads PCBA risk mitigation and delivers electrical/electronics projects from scoping through implementation.

What you'll do

• Drive and execute a PCBA risk mitigation strategy on product-level electronics commodities.
• Deliver electrical and electronics projects with technical ownership from scoping to implementation.
• Design and conceptualize solutions to ensure technical quality and compliance readiness.
• Design digital, mix-signal, and power electronics circuit boards that meet requirements.
• Develop design review and verification documentation (e.g., HLD, DFMEA, requirements traceability matrix, verification plan).
• Verify design performance against qualifying requirements for manufacturability, serviceability, and cost/reliability targets.
• Coordinate with sourcing/suppliers on PCBA manufacturing and FCT requirements to meet design requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Over 6 years of proven experience (as stated in the preferred qualifications).
• Excellent understanding of electrical and electronics engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to drive decisions through design and simulation tools.
• Knowledge to support product regulatory compliance testing and compliance requirements.
• Ability to convert component specifications into product fitment.
• Conduct functional and regulatory testing and record test results per test plans.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of circuit design and simulation tools.
• Desirable familiarity with project management.
• Basic understanding of FPGA-based design and programming using HDL.
• Basic C/C++ embedded programming exposure.
