Experienced ATE Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

Experienced ATE Mechanical Design Engineer to design Special Test Equipment / Automatic Test Equipment solutions for formal testing of aerospace end products. The role is based in Boeing’s Test & Evaluation team in Bangalore, India.

What you'll do

• Design STE or ATE solutions for formal testing at the circuit card, LRU, or system level.
• Use Zuken and Mentor Graphics tools for rack wiring and harness design, and document designs with specified tools.
• Develop and execute test programs, maintaining baseline scope, cost, and schedule while seeking improvements.
• Perform prototype, design verification testing (DVT), and formal qualification testing.
• Support hardware-software integration, system integration, system test, build, and deployment for end-to-end STE/ATE development.
• Create and/or review test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Lead and participate in Failure Review Board investigations and troubleshooting/testing for ATE.

What you'll need

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related fields (including Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Computer Science/Engineering Technology).
• 8 years of related work experience (or equivalent education plus experience).
• Experience in electrical wiring design and the wiring development lifecycle.
• Experience with electrical system architecture design, wiring design, and harness design.
• Experience with schematics capture tools.
• Knowledge of measurement and test equipment, including dimensional/electrical/electronic/thermal types.
• Excellent documentation across stages of the software development life cycle.
