Lead Engineer – Mechanical Design

Overview

Lead mechanical design for LV Drives products, covering concept/basic and detail engineering through validation, localization, and NPI activities.

What you'll do

• Perform concept and basic mechanical design and package electrical components.
• Lead LV Drives product mechanical design.
• Work with supply chain and manufacturing teams to meet project timelines.
• Own detail engineering and validation of designs for NPI and localization/development.
• Drive cost-out and DMP activities for drives products.
• Ensure OTD/FTY of deliverables.

What you'll need

• 10–15 years of mechanical design development experience for LV/MV drives.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/CAD design preferred).
• Experience in requisition engineering and cost reduction/localization (VA/VE).
• Good knowledge of CAD tools and sheet metal design, plus international standards/GD&T.
• Exposure to manufacturing process and quality standards.
• Technical and risk management experience.
• Leadership, influencing skills, and cross-functional/global assignment experience.
