Field Service Engineer (Field Remote, Atlanta, GA)

Overview

Field Service Engineer providing on-site installation and customer support for complex instrumentation and systems. Also oversees diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair, and supports training and administrative/technical liaison for assigned projects.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, validate, and repair PerkinElmer and/or multivendor instrumentation at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and qualify equipment, including warranty services within prescribed time frames.
• Communicate service offerings such as training, support, software, laboratory services products, and field upgrades.
• Partner with customers to understand analytical workflow and applications.
• Upload and download required service data to maintain service system integrity.
• Maintain assigned assets including tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment, and service parts inventory.

What you'll need

• BA in Applied Science/Biology/Chemistry/Electronics/Mathematics/Engineering or related field plus 5 years direct laboratory equipment repair experience.
• OR Associate Degree in Applied Science or related discipline plus 7 years direct laboratory equipment repair experience.
• OR High School Diploma plus 10+ years direct laboratory equipment repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and provide qualification services.
• MS Office skills: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions, read and understand service manuals, and work safely around lab hazards using universal precautions.
