GBS Buyer 1, Procurement (6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST)

Overview

GBS Buyer 1 in CrowdStrike’s Global Business Services procurement team, supporting day-to-day Procure-to-Pay (P2P) execution.

What you'll do

• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders (POs) per company policy.
• Handle PO renewals, change orders, and closures end-to-end while escalating exceptions.
• Own a requisition queue and ticket backlog, ensuring action within defined SLAs/TAT.
• Validate requisitions for complete documentation (quotes, approvals, cost center, GL coding).
• Support sourcing by obtaining, compiling, and comparing vendor quotes and running basic bid comparisons.
• Serve as primary point of contact for requesters and manage vendor onboarding through activation.
• Generate standard reports and track open POs, aging requisitions, and cycle-time metrics.

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of hands-on procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience.
• Experience across the requisition-to-PO lifecycle, including PO creation, change orders, renewals, and three-way match concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Commerce, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Working proficiency in at least one procurement/ERP platform (Coupa, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Ariba, or Workday) and familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira.
• Solid spreadsheet skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Prior buying experience in one or more categories such as Software/SaaS, Hardware, IT/TechOps, Marketing, Professional Services, Facilities, or HR.
• Proven accuracy in a high-volume transactional environment and clear communication with stakeholders and suppliers.
