Overview

Guidewire Automation QA - Senior Consultant designing and maintaining cloud automation testing for Guidewire applications in a Professional Services context.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using TestCafe, JavaScript, and JSON-based test data.
• Define and drive an automation strategy by aligning test coverage, quality goals, and execution priorities.
• Develop and optimize automation scripts that validate Gherkin/BDD-style requirements with reusable, maintainable code.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity) for reliable cloud releases.
• Generate and refine Page Objects using Ignite and build end-to-end/regression coverage across web and API layers.
• Execute, debug, and stabilize automation runs by fixing and refactoring flaky tests.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of overall QA experience with at least 3 years leading automation initiatives or acting as a senior automation engineer.
• Strong JavaScript skills and experience building/extending UI automation frameworks (data-driven, modular).
• Hands-on experience with at least one automation toolset such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium; willingness to primarily work with TestCafe.
• Practical CI/CD integration experience (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps) and Git/Bitbucket version control.
• Ability to interpret BDD/Gherkin requirements and translate them into robust automated test suites.
• Experience using JIRA and test reporting libraries for quality metrics and defect tracking.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and mentoring experience in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
