Lead Application Engineer - Grid Integration and Stability

Overview

Lead application engineer supporting grid integration and stability consulting through power-system analysis, simulation, equipment modeling, and customer-facing technical work.

What you'll do

• Perform technical analyses for renewable generation, battery storage, industrial drives, HVDC, and FACTS.
• Support customers with modeling, analysis, equipment design, specification, and failure mode analysis.
• Create and modify electrical equipment and control models in PSS/E, PSCAD, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Perform power-system planning, renewable integration, feasibility, and energy-storage studies.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating analyses, solutions, and customer value.
• Present technical content at regional forums and conferences.

What you'll need

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or electric power engineering.
• 2–3 years of industry experience in transient or steady-state and dynamic analysis.
• Experience with ATP/EMTP, PSCAD/EMTDC, EMTP-RV, PSS/E, PowerFactory, or PSLF.
• Experience using programming languages such as Python, FORTRAN, C, or C++.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in electrical engineering, electric power engineering, or a related field.
• Experience creating dynamic user models in power-system simulation tools.
• Knowledge of utility grid codes in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
• Experience with grid-code compliance studies and advanced time-domain simulations.
