Manager Engineering

Overview

Manager Engineering role for Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading facilities operations and ensuring cleanliness/safety/operational excellence in cleanroom and general facilities environments.

What you'll do

• Supervise and coordinate facility services, equipment and utility operations.
• Oversee EHS, equipment maintenance, breakdown handling, and building maintenance activities.
• Ensure daily operations, safety systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and maintain quality standards.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Guide a team to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Engineering in Mechanical/Instrumentation & Control or equivalent degree.
• 8+ years in pharma/equivalent engineering experience.
• 3+ years in EHS management experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for engineering drawings, P&IDs, and layouts.
• Experience with operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown handling of HVAC/AHUs/chillers/pumps and related equipment.
• Experience with BMS, DDC, PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, and calibration/certification.
• Experience with commissioning/qualification/validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and GMP engineering documentation.

• Work schedule: Mon–Fri (standard).
• Location: Ahmedabad, India.
• Work involves cold room/freezers (-22°F/-6°C), warehouse/general facility environments, and loud equipment noise.
