Overview
Qualcomm is seeking a Staff PMIC Design Engineer to plan, design, verify, and test mixed-signal power management IC (PMIC) circuits and products, including analog design and post-silicon debug.
What you'll do
- Oversee the definition, design, verification, and documentation of mixed-signal circuits and/or PMIC products for power management.
- Execute PMIC design and verification strategies for an assigned portion of a design block with supervision from a technical lead.
- Run functionality checks on a single block to confirm specifications with minimal guidance.
- Participate in end-to-end design activities from system definition/specification to circuit design/simulation and post-silicon debug.
- Oversee layout and silicon evaluation.
- Communicate complex information through written documents and oral meetings.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Either a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years, or a Master's with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as power electronics, control theory, high accuracy data converters/analog front ends, high bandwidth linear amplifiers, very low power references, electro-migration/transistor reliability, or behavioral modeling and UVI techniques.
- Experience using design tools including Cadence ADE, MathWorks MATLAB, Verilog/VerilogAMS, and System Verilog (or others).
- Capability to use publicly available information to seek knowledge of industry trends and advances in power management.
