Principal Digital Design Engineer

Overview

Lead the digital architecture, RTL design, and verification strategy for mixed-signal motor drive ICs, from standalone IP to full SoC.

What you'll do

• Define system-level requirements and own digital architecture for complex digital solutions (IP and SoC).
• Architect and lead implementation of reusable RTL modules and top-level integration using Verilog.
• Drive evolution of the digital design methodology by deploying new tools and best practices.
• Oversee FPGA validation and pre-silicon emulation strategy for robust verification.
• Collaborate with verification teams to define success criteria and ensure functional coverage.
• Work with physical implementation to resolve timing, power, and area challenges.
• Mentor engineers within the digital design team.

What you'll need

• PhD or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electronics or a related field.
• Extensive proven experience in a senior or principal digital design role.
• Expert-level knowledge of digital architectures across algorithmic IP to full SoC designs.
• Track record leading digital architecture and integration from specification through tape-out and silicon validation.
• Mastery of low-power and high-speed digital design techniques.
• Ability to apply advanced DFT/DFM techniques including scan compression, boundary scan, and memory BIST.
• Proficiency with advanced FPGA prototyping and emulation for complex digital systems.

Details

• Location: Hyderabad, India.
• Travel: domestic 5–10% and international 5–10% (most likely Europe, the Americas, and Asia).
