Product Engineer - Geospatial Data Science

Overview

Product Engineer - Geospatial Data Science will help ensure the quality and usability of geospatial AI tools, models, and libraries by designing and executing test plans and validating releases.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test code for relevant products.
• Verify code changes and bug fixes to maintain product quality.
• Review and analyze test results, reporting software quality and stability status.
• Troubleshoot and triage customer issues using user feedback to find improvement areas.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on testing, documentation, and release.
• Develop samples, tutorials, documentation, blog posts, and presentations for product features.
• Develop pre-trained geospatial AI models for imagery, 3D datasets, and text.

What you'll need

• 2 to 6 years of industry experience in software development or QA.
• Hands-on experience in QA processes, implementing test plans, and test automation.
• Proficiency in Python and Jupyter notebooks.
• Familiarity with GIS concepts, spatial data, and geospatial workflows.
• Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning workflows.
• Technical writing skills for authoring samples, blogs, and product documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related fields.
