Overview
Site/Depot Engineer-2 for Trane Rental Solutions, ensuring safe, reliable, timely deployment of rental cooling equipment and customer support at project sites.
What you'll do
- Inspect, test, and certify rental chillers before dispatch.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on chillers, pumps, and accessories.
- Supervise loading, unloading, and installation positioning of equipment at sites.
- Install and commission chillers and related temporary cooling systems, then hand over after performance verification.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns with electrical, refrigeration, and control system fault diagnosis and restoration within agreed response times.
- Decommission returned equipment safely and prepare refurbishment reports.
- Conduct safety, LOTO, permit-to-work, and statutory compliance practices including site risk assessments.
What you'll need
- Have a Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Have 2–5 years of experience in chillers, HVAC, or rental equipment.
- Have experience working with air-cooled/water-cooled chillers, pumps, and electrical panels.
- Have knowledge of refrigeration circuits and PLC-based controls (preferred).
- Be able to troubleshoot chillers and handle electrical fault diagnosis.
- Be able to perform refrigeration servicing and commissioning/testing.
- Have skills in customer communication and MS Office/digital service reporting.

- Location: Delhi NCR Warehouse and Pan India Project Sites.
- Extensive travel is required.
- Reporting to: Service Manager / Rental Operations Manager.
- 24×7 emergency breakdown rotation across India.
