Overview

Risk and Controls Manager Line 1 to support Line 1 risk obligations in Retail Technology, focusing on issue lifecycle management, control assessments, and CMRS integrity.

What you'll do

• Provide risk and control insights to support decision making for senior stakeholders.
• Support issue lifecycle management, control assessments, and CMRS integrity updates.
• Contribute to risk detection and control effectiveness using AI and automation.
• Assist in the design, assessment, and uplift of controls across data platforms, pipelines, and data products.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate controls to reduce manual effort.
• Analyse risk and control trends, issues, and incidents to identify patterns and root causes.
• Translate technical and risk concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll need

• 8+ years’ experience in risk, control advisory, change management risk, data governance, or technology risk.
• Experience supporting risk and control activities across technology environments (e.g., control testing, risk assessments, issue management, or control design).
• Experience across data platforms, analytics, and governance & risk reporting activities.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills using data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data, Engineering, or related discipline.
