Sales Engineer

Overview

Sales Engineer role in Zendesk’s presales organization, partnering with Account Executives to deliver solution selling and technical demonstrations for mid-market customers.

What you'll do

• Configure and deliver tailored product demonstrations mapped to customer value.
• Support discovery and scoping technical conversations to uncover customer requirements and integration needs.
• Build standard proof-of-concept (POC) environments to validate Zendesk’s fit for immediate requirements.
• Handle technical questionnaires including security, architectural, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Use internal templates, scripts, and pre-built API recipes for consistent technical deliverables.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of experience in solution engineering, technical support, implementation consulting, or customer success in B2B SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent practical technology experience.
• Comfort with APIs, JSON, webhooks, and web browser troubleshooting.
• AI-fluency with understanding of the generative AI landscape and conversational workflow architecture.
• Baseline knowledge of customer service metrics, CRM systems, or help desk workflows.

Details

• Aligned to the AMER region and focused on English-speaking customers.
• Must be physically located in and plan to work from Mexico City (CDMX) or Mexico State (Estado de Mexico).
• Travel up to 25% annually.
