Senior Engineer – Design Engineering

Overview

Senior Design Engineer for the Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) Design team, supporting design solutions for Geared Turbo Fan and Operational Commercial engine families.

What you'll do

• Develop technically sound design solutions within program schedule milestones.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Drive tasks to closure independently while understanding design requirements and processes.
• Use solid modeling and analysis tools proficiently.
• Apply DFMEA/FMECA, tolerance stack-up, and RCCA to design and continuously improve hardware.
• Provide technical guidance by coaching/reviewing younger engineers’ work.
• Communicate design status, risks, and metrics to team leadership and management.

What you'll need

• Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant experience (with Master’s) or 8+ years of relevant experience (with Bachelor’s).
• High proficiency desired in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SAP, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with gas turbine field is required at least to the level of the education/experience fit.
• Knowledge of ASME standards such as ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.41.
• Proficiency in commercial FEA software such as ANSYS or Simcenter.
