Overview
Senior Engineer-HVAC (MEP) for Building Engineering in India, focused on HVAC design and engineering support for complex projects.
What you'll do
- Perform quality control review of HVAC design calculations and drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Lead HVAC system design for complex commercial, residential, and data center projects.
- Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system performance.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines for integrated design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance for HVAC design.
What you'll need
- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA standards and regulations.
- Experience with commercial, residential, datacenter, and infrastructure projects across geographies (USA, Canada, ANZ).
- Proficiency with HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar BIM tools.
- Knowledge of energy modeling software such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE.

- Hybrid employees are asked to work from an AECOM office at least three days per week.
