Senior Solution Engineer

Overview

Senior Solution Engineer to work with sales and channel partners on data platform discovery, technical demonstrations, and enterprise Proof of Concepts across data, AI, and architecture.

What you'll do

• Present Snowflake Data Cloud vision to data engineering, analytics, data science, and executive stakeholders.
• Lead hands-on technical discovery to map customer data architecture and design a Snowflake-native path forward.
• Build and deliver tailored demos and proof of concepts across the data platform (data engineering, AI/ML, and data sharing).
• Guide customers through modern data architecture patterns and unified governance frameworks.
• Translate business problems (e.g., churn prediction, supply chain visibility, financial consolidation) into Snowflake data solutions.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Field teams to feed architecture patterns back into the product roadmap.

What you'll need

• 7–8 years of industry experience; at least 5 years in pre-sales/solutions architecture focused on data platforms.
• Deep hands-on expertise with SQL and Python, and the ability to write working code in a customer session.
• Experience across the modern data stack including ETL/ELT tools, streaming platforms, orchestration, BI tools, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to conduct deep data architecture discovery and connect findings to a Snowflake reference architecture.
• Experience positioning AI/ML capabilities within a data platform context.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance challenges (GDPR, CCPA, PCI).
• Ability to quantify business value (e.g., cost reduction, time-to-insight, pipeline reliability).

Details

• Compensation: $220,000–$288,000 OTE (On Target Earnings: base salary + commission/quota).
