Senior Structural Design Engineer - Power Transmission - Towers & Telecom - Hyderabad

Overview

Senior Structural Design Engineer for power transmission tower and telecom structures, focused on design, analysis review, and coordination with testing and drawings.

What you'll do

• Lead power transmission design projects including tendering, design, and type testing for transmission line towers and monopoles.
• Develop sag-tension, loading, and wind load calculations and support designs per standards.
• Create complete tower designs as per client specifications.
• Handle detailing coordination and check tower drawings, including GA and fabrication drawings.
• Review structural analysis reports, tower loading calculations, sag-tension calculations, and GA/fabrication drawings.
• Support tower testing procedures and tower spotting.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level designers/engineers.

What you'll need

• 10 to 12 years of experience in leading power transmission design projects.
• Conversant with tower and monopole design standards including IS-802, IEC-826, and ASEC.
• Capability to develop sag-tension calculations, loading, and wind load calculations.
• Expert knowledge of software including PLS Tower, PLS Pole, STAAD, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with detailing coordination, drawings checking, tower testing procedure, and tower spotting.
• Knowledge of fabrication drawings, tower testing procedure, and tower spotting.
• UG education: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and PG education: ME/M.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software iTowersTL.
