Signal Integrity Engineer

Overview

Signal Integrity Engineer role focused on delivering system-level signal integrity solutions for large, complex, high-speed systems (boards and packages).

What you'll do

• Deliver system-level signal integrity solutions for high-speed boards and packages.
• Own signal integrity design activities from feasibility studies through product validation.
• Develop SI rules and build on design guides/checklists, and review design implementation.
• Create test plans and document characterization/measurement reports.
• Improve and optimize design margins using interconnect, timing, and crosstalk analysis plus 3D EM and channel simulations.
• Provide technical assessments and progress updates to SI management.
• Design and characterize test structures/channel models to correlate simulations with measurements.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment across geographies.
• Strong problem-solving skills plus board/system-level lab bring-up, debugging, and characterization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting analysis and updates.
• Knowledge of electromagnetics and transmission line concepts, including reflection/terminations, timing/jitter, crosstalk/noise, and channel modeling.
• Experience with lab equipment including high bandwidth real time/sampling oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzers, TDR, VNA, and spectrum analyzers.

• Onsite role with expectation of primarily working from an HPE office.
