Sr Programmer Analyst

Overview

Senior Programmer Analyst performing advanced bioinformatics programming for statistical and computational aspects of research projects. The role leads moderately complex studies and provides guidance to junior team members.

What you'll do

• Lead selected studies of moderate complexity and assess project goals and timelines.
• Develop, execute, maintain, and validate SAS programs.
• Transfer, combine, and summarize data from multiple sources and systems.
• Generate and validate listings, tables, figures, and reports.
• Manage and document assignments against timelines and quality requirements.
• Train and guide junior team members.
• Support departmental infrastructure, bidding activities, training materials, and working-practice documents.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• MS/MA with at least 3 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of one or more programming languages.
• Strong understanding of relational database structures and complex data systems.
• Knowledge of quality control review for statistical programming.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Location: Mexico; remote.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday.
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
