Staff Application Developer - Record to Report (Workday Financials)

Overview

Staff Application Developer for Record to Report (Workday Financials) supporting Workday Financials functional areas across implementation enhancements and post-production optimization.

What you'll do

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Product to gather requirements and translate them into Workday Financials solutions.
• Design, configure, test, and document enhancements across Workday Financial modules.
• Support bi-annual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and deployment coordination.
• Provide functional SME support and troubleshoot Workday Financials issues via ServiceNow.
• Document root cause analysis and resolutions following Genesys governance standards.
• Support SOX compliance, including periodic security audits and documentation controls.
• Work with integration teams on Workday-integrated third-party systems (e.g., tax engines, reconciliation tools, banking systems, accrual processes).

What you'll need

• 8 years of hands-on Workday Financials experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
• Experience working in Workday Fins ERP support or implementation roles.
• Demonstrated experience configuring and supporting multiple Workday Financial functional areas.
• Experience supporting a SOX-controlled environment.
• Experience with Jira and incident ticket-driven support model (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
