Technical Engineer

Overview

Technical Engineer responsible for day-to-day service management for real-time fraud detection and a centralised audit database, supporting SOX compliance.

What you'll do

• Provide day-to-day service management across real-time fraud detection and the bank’s centralised audit database.
• Monitor and manage incidents in ServiceNow and drive triage, escalation, and resolution across both platforms.
• Oversee pre-production and production environments during working hours using Dynatrace, Kibana, and other monitoring tools.
• Apply ITIL service management principles to improve incident, problem, and change processes.
• Participate in planned out-of-hours patching and change activities (about 2–3 times per month).
• Support obsolescence and migration programs, including RHEL 7.9 to RHEL 9 and removal of legacy clustering.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience.
• IT Service Management experience in financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong ITIL knowledge covering Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• ServiceNow experience.
• Comfort with Linux/RHEL and on-premises hosting.
• Comfortable with periodic and planned out-of-hours working.
• Stakeholder management across multiple technical teams.
