Overview

Hands-on JavaScript Software Engineer for an enterprise application-modernization initiative. The role supports migrating 2,000+ applications to newer JavaScript versions and updating package management from npm to pnpm.

What you'll do

• Support modernization of a large JavaScript application ecosystem.
• Assist with migrations to newer JavaScript versions.
• Migrate applications from npm to pnpm.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-migration and dependency issues.
• Collaborate with multiple application teams to facilitate migrations.
• Identify opportunities to improve migration consistency, reliability, and efficiency.

What you'll need

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript.
• Experience migrating applications to newer JavaScript versions.
• Experience using pnpm.
• Deep understanding of the JavaScript open-source ecosystem.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving application-migration issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Details

• Work requires LATAM-based candidates with US Central Time overlap and flexible working hours.
• Full-time contract engagement at 40 hours per week, running through March 31, 2027.
