Customer Support Service Engineering Manager

Overview

Customer Support Service Engineering Manager for Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, leading teams across multiple engineering disciplines focused on troubleshooting and repair-related activities.

What you'll do

• Manage employees across 2+ engineering disciplines.
• Lead engineers resolving systemic fleet issues.
• Oversee customer service request resolution, repair development, and systems troubleshooting.
• Manage project and operational safety assessment activities while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop and execute projects, process plans, and operational goals.
• Acquire resources and provide technical management of suppliers; lead process improvements.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

What you'll need

• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
• Track record of working successfully under pressure in time-constrained environments (AOG and critical situations).
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• High proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare reports, presentations, proposals, and statements of work.
• Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work across different cultures and time-zones and handle organizational complexity.

Nice to have

• Previous experience leading/managing teams in a customer support engineering organization.
• Experience providing customer support services to airlines.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA transport airplane structural/systems regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (aeronautical/aerospace, mechanical, or equivalent).
