Facilities Engineer – Instrumentation

Overview

Facilities Engineer – Instrumentation supports instrumentation, controls, and electrical design work for onshore assets in Chevron’s Shale and Tight projects.

What you'll do

• Support design, troubleshooting, analysis, and installation of instrumentation, electrical power distribution, PLC control, and field measurement equipment.
• Develop instrumentation, control, and electrical deliverables including control philosophies, Cause & Effects diagrams, P&IDs, area classification drawings, load analysis, and one-line diagrams.
• Manage change for instrumentation, controls, and electrical design packages and associated updates.
• Deliver I&E engineering construction work packages that meet applicable specifications.
• Provide remote technical support for operations and turnaround scope development.
• Participate in safety reviews (HazOps, HazAn) as applicable.
• Concurrently manage multiple project deliverables and respond to technical inquiries with recommendations and troubleshooting.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years on site-based facility experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (B.E.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university.
• 5–10+ years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry experience.
• Experience executing greenfield and/or brownfield projects in onshore upstream oil and gas facilities.

• Role is based in Bengaluru office.
• Work hours are aligned to business needs; standard hours listed as 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 1:30 PM–10:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
