Overview
Infrastructure Design Engineer (AVP) responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems.
What you'll do
- Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions aligned to business requirements.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify and resolve issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
- Use data to reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).
- Build and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
- Implement secure infrastructure configurations to protect against cyber-attacks and unauthorized access.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and engineers to define infrastructure requirements and integration needs.
What you'll need
- Experience designing, reviewing, and governing enterprise infrastructure across operating systems, databases, storage, virtualization, middleware, and cloud.
- Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware virtualization, and high availability/disaster recovery architecture.
- Experience evaluating and optimizing database infrastructure across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience in infrastructure capacity planning, utilization analysis, and performance optimization using monitoring/observability platforms.
- Ability to manage end-to-end infrastructure delivery with application development, operations, cloud engineering, and service providers.
- Ability to use Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, and observability platforms for reporting and dashboards.
- Experience building automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, or similar technologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with public cloud platforms and cloud-native services (migration, modernization, cost optimization, hybrid cloud models).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management, SDLC, change/release management, and project delivery methodologies.
- Certifications in areas such as cloud computing, database administration, Unix, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience with infrastructure observability, monitoring, log analytics, and performance management platforms.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
