Lead Engineer 2 - Electrical Component

Overview

Lead Electrical Component Engineer for the FACTS Solution Line, supporting MV equipment engineering for STATCOM/HVDC projects based in Noida with remote flexibility.

What you'll do

• Prepare and review MV equipment technical specifications, datasheets, and purchase requisitions.
• Evaluate vendor offers and perform technical bid analysis and bid/tender drawing review.
• Create and review layout/section drawings and STATCOM yard/valve room layouts.
• Support equipment sizing, electrical clearances/insulation coordination, and busbar sizing.
• Develop equipment documentation for manufacturing clearance and FAT, and provide site pre-commissioning support.
• Interface with electrical, civil/structural, control & protection, and installation/commissioning teams to align schematics with physical layouts.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in Substation/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Minimum 2–3 years specifically in STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Power System.
• Strong prioritizing and time management skills.
• Experience supporting utility scale grid integration and EHV substations (preferred).
• Deep MV switchgear/substation design knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience working in 1–2 STATCOM/HVDC projects.
• REVIT for BOQ generation and STATCOM yard MV bays.
• Experience with IGBT valve configuration, valve layout, and valve cooling systems.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE/CIGRE standards related to harmonics and insulation coordination.
