Lead Engineer - Hardware

Overview

Lead Hardware Engineer focused on firmware and electronics hardware development for Electrical Fusible products within the PCS group.

What you'll do

• Lead technical projects for circuit protection devices.
• Own overall hardware design and product development to meet schedule and budget.
• Define technology strategy and propose competitive technical solutions.
• Support product execution across hardware lifecycle (requirements through certification testing).
• Lead electronic product work for motor control products (e.g., VFDs, relays).
• Estimate workload, establish project schedules, and monitor progress during execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external/internal customers.

What you'll need

• 9-15 years of experience in electronics/hardware product development.
• Hands-on PCB design, component selection, schematic creation, and hardware testing/prototype development.
• Experience with hardware architecture design and 16/32-bit micro-controller/DSP-based designs.
• Experience with electronics design for motor control and power supply design for VFDs/relays and related components.
• Simulation tool experience including PSpice, LTSpice, and ModelSim.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including communication protocols (e.g., RS232, SPI, I2C, Ethernet).
• Ability for hardware module validation and physical layer testing.
