Lead Test Engineer - VP

Overview

Lead Test Engineer (VP) responsible for designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience while improving testing processes.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate functionality and compliance with quality standards.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and contribute to acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and support resolution with developers.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Drive resource/budget planning and continuous improvements, escalating policy/procedure breaches.

What you'll need

• Proven experience with global QA delivery models.
• Hands-on expertise in Java (core + test frameworks) and Selenium/modern UI automation tools.
• Experience with API testing (REST, microservices) and test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of test automation architecture, design patterns, shift-left testing, and TDD/BDD practices.
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets & Equity Derivatives (pricing, trading, lifecycle).
