Principal Engineer - Drainage (Water)

Overview

Principal Engineer focused on drainage and water hydraulic & hydrological design for storm water systems and related infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design hydraulic and hydrological storm water drainage systems for highway, track, site, sub-stations, and urban drainage.
• Perform gully spacing calculations and SuDS design including attenuation basins and flow control devices.
• Design pumping stations and related general arrangement components such as valve chambers and road/bridge crossing structures.
• Conduct flood risk assessment and support designers with asset relocation/shifting, asset tagging, and connection/standard drawings.
• Run hydraulic/hydrological modeling using specified tools (e.g., InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, PCSWMM, TuFlow, Causeway Flow, Sewer GEMS/Infoworks ICM, HEC-RAS, Open Road Designer).
• Lead coordinating activities, mentor juniors, and ensure quality checks, including clash analysis using Navisworks.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience, with exposure to outside India projects preferably UK, USA, Canada, MER, and ANZ regions.
• Hands-on experience in hydraulic and hydrological design for storm water drainage systems.
• Experience with DMRB standards and relevant manuals/guidance such as CIRIA C753 SuDS Manual and Sewers for Adoption.
• Experience with hydraulic/hydraulic modeling tools listed in the posting.
• Experience working in Common Data Environment tools such as ProjectWise, BIM 360, or ACC.
• Master’s degree in Civil / Water Resources / Environment / PHE.
• Professional qualification preference/working towards C.Eng. (ICE) or C.Eng. (IET) or C.CIWEM.
