Service Engineer - Data Center - T2/B2

Overview

Service Engineer for data center HVAC/chiller systems (air-cooled and water-cooled chillers). Responsible for service, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and supporting data center cooling projects.

What you'll do

• Perform service, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in chiller and HVAC systems.
• Conduct chiller start-up, commissioning, performance testing, and system optimization.
• Support site execution for data center cooling projects, including planning and installation oversight.
• Support upgrades, retrofits, and energy-efficiency improvements in existing data center cooling infrastructure.
• Maintain service reports, performance logs, and project/equipment documentation.

What you'll need

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience servicing air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, preferably for data centers.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC controls, and BMS/EMS integration.
• Experience with project execution, installation supervision, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
• Proficiency diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control faults using service tools and diagnostic software.

Nice to have

• Experience with mission-critical data centers or large industrial cooling systems.
• OEM-specific chiller training or certifications (e.g., Trane, Carrier, Daikin).
• Knowledge of energy-efficiency programs, retrofits, and system performance optimization.
• Project management experience or certification is a plus.
